PLEDGE OF INTEGRITY
James River Trade Exchange allows only reputable businesses to become
members of the exchange. The integrity of JRTE depends on the quality
of services and products offered by our members. It is imperative
that you treat every member as if they were paying cash. Prices are
not to be inflated but should reflect the retail or “going rate”
of the product or service your business regularly offers. Only the
highest quality of services and products will be accepted.
If these guidelines are compromised, JRTE brokers will no longer
be able to recommend your business to other members and your membership
status may become tentative.
What is the $144 trade contribution and why is it required?
Every James River Trade Exchange member is required to contribute $144 trade dollars per year ($12 trade per month) as these trade dollars go into a specific fund which allows JRTE to participate as a trade member itself. The trade dollars which are collected are used to pay for services and products that benefit the trade exchange and its members as whole such as:
JRTE Website
Co-op Advertising Reimbursement
Member Referral Rewards
Quarterly Socials
Office Needs
Using trade dollars for expenses like these keeps cash costs down,
which keeps overhead at a minimum thus reducing the costs to you,
the member. This practice allows JRTE to offer the lowest membership
fees and commission fees in the area.
